Snack and meal times are an important part of your child’s day as it is a social time for them and they get to learn about healthy food. Before your child starts I will need to know about their dietary needs and if they have any allergies. All the meals, snacks and drinks I provide will be nutritious, and I will avoid using large quantities of fat, sugar, salt, additives, preservatives and colourings. All children will be encouraged to eat a wide range of foods, which will include the main nutrients of carbohydrates, proteins, and essential vitamins and minerals. A child's personal and medical dietary requirements will be respected; I currently offer a vegetarian alternative for your child on a daily basis
All meals are included at no extra cost when a place has been booked for 6 hours or more. When a place has been booked for less than 6 hours meals will be charged at the following prices: Breakfast £1.00, and Tea: £2.00. This applies to older children only; all food will have to be provided by the parents of babies. Meal times should be a happy and social time for the children conversation will be encouraged. I will make every effort to respect individual dietary requirements.
A well-balanced diet is vital in a child's growth and development, I will only serve freshly cooked and nutritious food and I will rotate the menus regularly so the children do not become bored of the same food
I will encourage children to eat a little bit of everything on their plate and desert will always be given even if the child hasn’t eaten their main course.
Although every endeavour will be made to encourage children to eat their meals, no child will be allowed to become distressed or to go hungry because he/she did not eat their meal.
If you do not wish your child to be given a meal then please make sure they arrive with a packed lunch
